1. First plan out your pedigree chart on a separate piece of light colored paper. Trace the outline of the Old Family Tree by using a light table or by holding your paper up to a window. How many family members do you want to include in your personal family tree? Plan a spot on your tree for each person and mark the area where you want to display their photo on your plan.

2. Make an oval pattern with light cardboard or use an oval punch to cut out the areas where you want your photos to be on your tree.

3. Select your photos, re-size and tint them sepia before printing on photo quality paper.

4. Trim and tape the photos behind the openings cut out of your tree

5. Embellish with leaves and branches to show family relationships. Add names and dates of births and marriages with a fine point calligraphy pen.
